Kapustyansky granite deposit

On November 30, 2001, «Elgran» Limited Liability Company for the extraction of granite of the Kapustyansky deposit was granted a Special Permit for the Use of Subsoil No. 2602, up to November 30, 2021.

The Kapustin deposit is located in the central part of the Novoukrainsk granite massif of the Lower Proterozoic age within the Kirovograd megablock of the Ukrainian Crystal Shield and is dated to the trachytoid granites of the Kirovograd-Zhytomyr complex.

Located 1 km. on PdSh from the village “Kamyaniy Mist” of Novoukrainsk district of Kirovograd region on both banks of the river Pleteniy Tashlyk.
The relief is flat, loosely divided

Orographically, the deposit area belongs to the basin of the river Pleteniy Tashlyk. The aquifer is confined to the upper fractured zone of crystalline rocks.

The distance of the Southeast part of the Levoberezhny plot of the Kapustyansky deposit from the Kapustino railway station is 5 km on the NW. The deposit is located 10-12 km south of the district center – Novoukrainka, with which the deposit is connected by a highway.

According to the conditions of the deposit and the quality of the minerality, the deposit belongs to 1 group (deposits of simple geological structure).

Granite is Novoukrainian, pink-red and bright-red, trachytoid, porphyry, medium-coarse-grained with full-crystalline structure, slightly fractured, suitable for the production of blocks and the production of facing plates. The granite is well polished and polished. The polished surfaces are mirrored without holes and dents. Polished red granites of varying color saturation are of particular interest in the construction of architectural ensembles and individual structures
